Service and Support Changes in the paradigm of our operations |
2003 - Actrix Networks began business to provide professional IT consulting services to the SME market - at the same time the propellor-network.net web hosting services were rebranded as ACTRIX.NET and customers moved over to this new domain. 2004 - Actrix Network grew it's customer base for IT consulting and gradually procured more advanced servers and network hardware to offer a more robust service to it's customers. Customer-wise Actrix Networks was still servicing small/retail customers. 2005 - Actrix Networks added more mid-level clients (20-60 users) and adjusted operations to suit. New hardware and software sources to suit. Actrix core aim moves towards mid-sized companies with 20-60 users running domains with WANs. 2006 - New emphasis for larger customers (40 - 80 users) is on the agenda - Ghosted-rollouts of workstations and per-user-basis rollout of software via MSI installers from Group Policy. MS Fax services finally becomes main stream. Interest in VPN and secure access means lots of interest in the Linux-based IPcop firewall. Integration of IPcop, Watchguard, Cisco and other VPN technologies via IPsec policies becomes important. Windows SUS and Symantec Rapid Releases become a major talking point as viruses and threats loom larger and bandwidth is becoming more costly for larger customers. 2006 - Second Quarter - Actrix Networks attains new international client with > 80 seats in Brisbane We alsogain dozens of new hosting customers on our new Planet Domain reseller label
2007 - Hosting peaks with new customers all
moving to "Planet Domain" server -- these are 100% Australian owned, run
and maintained systems based in Sydney and Melbourne. |
